From our roots as a family grocery in 1980s Los Angeles to becoming La Quinta’s first artisan market, El Toro Loco represents three generations of grocery excellence. What began with my grandfather’s vision in Los Angeles, then flourished as Coachella’s premier independent grocery store, has evolved into something extraordinary.
Growing up in our family stores, I learned firsthand the values that define us today: quality, service, and community. For over four decades, we’ve been a trusted name in the Coachella Valley’s Hispanic market and carnicería tradition. Now, our La Quinta location introduces an exciting new concept—an artisanal market that honors our heritage while embracing innovation. This is just the beginning, as we plan to bring this unique shopping experience to communities throughout the Coachella Valley.
